Networks & Operators
Networks consume security, operators provide it, vaults fund it. Symbiotic's three-layer architecture lets each participant choose independently — creating a flexible marketplace for decentralized security.

The Three-Layer Architecture
Networks are like EigenLayer's AVSs — they're the services that need economic security.
Oracle networks, bridges, DA layers, and rollup sequencers are all examples.
Operators are the infrastructure layer. They run nodes, validate transactions, and
attest to data. An operator can serve multiple networks simultaneously, earning fees from each.
Vaults provide the capital. They delegate stake to operators who use it to secure networks.
If an operator misbehaves, the network can slash the vault's collateral.
This separation means: a vault can choose which operators to trust, an operator can choose which networks to serve,
and a network can set its own requirements — all independently.
